CBD (cannabidiol) Oil, a.k.a. Hemp Oil, is making headlines for its health benefits ...
But what is it? What is hemp oil and why are people raving about it?
Hemp oil is simply oil extracted from the hemp plant, a botanical cousin of marijuana. While hemp and marijuana share many of the same beneficial compounds - cannabinoids, terpenes, and antioxidant flavonoids - there is one important difference: Hemp has only trace amounts of THC, the psychoactive compound found in high amounts in marijuana, so there is no “high” when taking full spectrum hemp oil, just health benefits.
And hemp oil is easy to take. It is a potent oil which you can put directly in your mouth, or add to a beverage (I love mine in coffee!).

5. Promotes a Healthy Heart
While much of the headlines focus on hemp’s ability to relieve stress and discomfort, hemp oil also promotes a healthy heart. Full spectrum hemp oil is a natural source of heart-healthy essential fatty acids, delivered at optimal omega ratios. These include omega-6 (linoleic acid), omega-3 (alpha-linoleic acid), and omega-9 (oleic acid).

Some oxidative stress is a necessary byproduct of living. Intense athletic training can strain muscles, leading to discomfort and long recovery times. Full spectrum hemp oil may be able to help. Along with soothing temporary inflammation, full spectrum hemp oil has cannabigerol which supports muscle health.
Hemp is supported by a vast amount of scientific evidence.

Where to buy hemp oil
Since there is no THC in CBD oil, it is legal to sell it in a regular 'ol store - it is not a drug or controlled substance. You may have seen it on a shelf at a health food store, or for sale online. But how do you know which one to buy, and what the differences are?
Here's what you want to look for when shopping for hemp oil:
1. GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH!!
There are so many products on the market now, that it is hard to know what you are getting. I'll tell you how to know what you're getting: look for a number of mg on the bottle, like "750 mg". This indicates how many mg of CBD oil are in the bottle. (Even though the bottle may be 1 or 2 oz., only a portion of it is actual CBD oil.) Once you find the mg number, divide the cost of the bottle by the mg number. For example, $69/750mg = $0.09/mg, or 9 cents per mg. If you are paying more than 12 cents per mg, YOU ARE PAYING TOO MUCH.
2. Zero TCH
While most help oil will say "no TCH", most help oil does contain some - a very small amount, but be sure to read the label carefully if this is of concern for you
3. Organically Grown
Just like any other crop, some hemp is grown organically, and some non-organically. A big problem with many hemp oil supplements is that they are contaminated with pesticides, heavy metals, and other contaminants. These things should never be put in your body.
4. Full or Broad Spectrum
There are about 100 different beneficial compounds in hemp oil. The full spectrum of terpenes, flavonoids and cannabinoids all work together to amplify the benefits. Cheap CBD oil contains just the "isolate", which is just 1 of the 100 beneficial compounds you could be getting. It is significantly cheaper to extract the "isolate" from hemp oil.
5. Good Absorption
Your body has a hard time absorbing most hemp oil supplements, partly because of the particle, or droplet, size. You may think you have found a "good deal" on some hemp oil, but if it does not have very small droplet size, you will need to take a LOT of it to get any results.
When shopping for help oil, be sure to look for very small droplet size; nano-emulsification technology breaks the oil down into tiny droplets so your body can rapidly absorb all the beneficial compounds. And it increases the surface area of the hemp oil for increased bioavailability.
6. Superior Genetic Strains
Just like different tomatoes look and taste different, there are also different strains of hemp. It is best to buy hemp oil that is extracted from a strain that is rich in beneficial phytochemicals including terpenes, flavonoids, omegas, and other cannabinoids.
7. Premium Extraction Methods
Again, just like other foods, the way that the oil is extracted from the plant can make an enormous difference in the quality of the end product. One way to extract hemp oil is to use harsh solvents to get the oil out of the hemp plant. The better way is to use supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction, which does not add nasty residue, does not harm the oil (i.e. oxidize it, creating free-radicals), and which delivers a full spectrum extract (i.e. it extracts the whole spectrum of the oil) so you get an "entourage effect" - that is also pure and free of any solvents or toxins!
Whew! That is a lot to keep track of when shopping for hemp oil!
Because there is so much to look for, I have made it easy for you ... I have hemp oil available that meets all of these criteria. In addition, you can even see quality and purity reports for this oil.
I especially love the fact that this oil comes from non-GMO strains of hemp that are organically grown in Colorado, and the extraction method used is state-of-the-art supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) - this method is actually superior to "cold pressed"! And the icing on the cake is that this oil is mint-infused - this it is naturally flavored with organic peppermint oil (never any artificial ingredients!). That's why I put it in my coffee - it makes me peppermint-coffee!
